If you’re anything like me, you’ve probably stared at your decision list, your journal, your coffee mug… waiting for clarity to fall out of the sky.

Sometimes clarity is cosmic.
Sometimes clarity is practical.
And sometimes… you just need a really good ChatGPT prompt.

I used to resist AI (because, you know... I’m too complicated for a computer)
But then I realized:
When you combine your Enneagram type with the right prompt, you can actually get some freakishly helpful feedback that works with your personality instead of against it.

So — here are my favorite ChatGPT prompts for each Enneagram type to help you finally make decisions with more peace, confidence, and alignment.

🧿 Type 1 — The Reformer

Core struggle: Overthinking, high standards, guilt if things aren’t "right."

Prompt:
"Help me evaluate my decision while balancing my high standards with self-compassion, so I don’t fall into perfectionism."

Extra Magic:

  • Ask it to list your top 3 priorities based on your values.

  • Ask for reminders on what "good enough" looks like.

🧿 Type 2 — The Helper

Core struggle: Over-functioning, people-pleasing, neglecting your own needs.

Prompt:
"Help me make this decision while considering my own needs, not just what others expect from me."

Extra Magic:

  • Ask it: “What would this decision look like if I fully trusted I was worthy, even if I disappoint others?”

🧿 Type 3 — The Achiever

Core struggle: Performing, chasing success metrics, disconnection from true desire.

Prompt:
"Help me assess if I want this because it's meaningful to me, or because it looks successful from the outside."

Extra Magic:

  • Ask for journaling questions to explore authentic desire.

  • Ask it to help define "success" on your own terms.

🧿 Type 4 — The Individualist

Core struggle: Idealism, comparison, emotional intensity.

Prompt:
"Help me sort through my emotions so I can make this decision without getting stuck in idealism or comparison."

Extra Magic:

  • Ask it to reflect back your actual options vs. your fantasies.

  • Ask for grounding rituals before making decisions.

🧿 Type 5 — The Investigator

Core struggle: Over-researching, information paralysis, energy conservation.

Prompt:
"Help me simplify my options so I don’t overanalyze and paralyze myself with too much information."

Extra Magic:

  • Ask for a pros/cons list in under 5 bullet points.

  • Ask: “What is enough info to make this decision safely?”

🧿 Type 6 — The Loyalist

Core struggle: Fear-based thinking, worst-case spirals, needing reassurance.

Prompt:
"Help me identify what I actually want, separate from my fears and worst-case scenarios."

Extra Magic:

  • Ask it to list best-case AND realistic-case outcomes.

  • Ask for calming affirmations to center yourself before deciding.

🧿 Type 7 — The Enthusiast

Core struggle: Impulsivity, chasing dopamine, avoiding pain or boredom.

Prompt:
"Help me slow down and evaluate this decision for long-term fulfillment, not just short-term excitement."

Extra Magic:

  • Ask: “What would long-term peace look like if I made this choice?”

  • Ask for a list of both excitement and sustainability factors.

🧿 Type 8 — The Challenger

Core struggle: Control, defensiveness, vulnerability avoidance.

Prompt:
"Help me make this decision from a place of grounded power, not control or reactivity."

Extra Magic:

  • Ask: “What would empowered surrender look like in this decision?”

  • Ask it to mirror back your strengths AND soft spots.

🧿 Type 9 — The Peacemaker

Core struggle: Conflict avoidance, self-neglect, indecisiveness.

Prompt:
"Help me clarify what I want, instead of automatically accommodating everyone else."

Extra Magic:

  • Ask: “If no one else had an opinion, what would I choose?”

  • Ask for a simple 3-step plan to start moving forward gently.
